live.pirillo.com – As time goes on, hardware does evolve. It’s likely if you buy a computer these days, you may not be able to connect some of your older devices. I was recently in that position, and found myself looking for an uber adapter.
In this video, I unbox and review the 2.5″ external hard drive case from Ultra. This case features USB 2.0, eSATA, a extra USB ‘DC power’ connection, and a nice aluminum finish. In the box comes the case its self, a USB 2.0 cable, eSATA (3Gbps) cable, a ‘DC power’ USB cable (for extra power in case the bus power on the one cable is not enough), a eSATA mounting bracket (for a desktop), and a leather cover (for the case). I picked this up from Tiger Direct for about (US) and I would recommend this produce to anyone.
Hauppauge HD PVR This is a great card…works straight out the box, no need to upgrade you’re computer, as long as you have one of the newer ones, not one from 5 years ago, because all the encoding is already done by the product, not our computer. The downfall of this card is that it only has Component connections; therefore; limiting it’s quality of the recorded footage. Pros: -Works right out the box -Doesn’t need an extremely powerful computer/Works for PC and Mac -Ability to play Xbox 360 without turning on your computer(not 100% sure but it looks like it since the HD PVR has its own power adapter) Cons: -Component cables -No support or future support for 1080p/Resolutions only up to 1080i Blackmagic Intensity Pro The next best thing, I believe this card is better than the HD PVR for many reason, first being that it is an HDMI card and HDMI is better than component. I know people will say, for youtube, there no/minimal difference in quality between these cards, but in actuality, it is better. Component cables are maxed out on what it’s capable of doing; however, HDMI is still expanding. The downfall of this card is, it is an internal card, only used for Desktop computers, NO LAPTOPS. Works with both Mac and PC. You do need to have the program up and your computer running in order to see picture on your TV but that can be fixed by buying an HDMI splitter. Pros: -HDMI input/output -Support for 1080p, extra note, see below in Cons -Ability to record uncompressed as well …
The Portege R705 is a 13-inch laptop (similar to Apple’s MacBook), which is the biggest screen size we’d consider carrying around on a regular basis, but also the smallest we’d be able to comfortably use for full-time computing. It’s thinner than the current white plastic MacBook (but not as svelte as the MacBook Air or Dell Adamo XPS), and has a sturdy magnesium alloy chassis. Toshiba lists the Portege R705 for 9, but as of this writing, it can be found online for 9. A handful of business-oriented configs are also available (called the R700, instead of the R705), adding a docking port and a few other corporate-friendly features for 9 and up. For 0-0 less than an entry-level MacBook, you get a newer Intel Core i3 processor (the basic MacBook has an older Core 2 Duo CPU), a large 500GB hard drive, and Intel’s Wireless Display technology, which allows the laptop’s display to be beamed to a remote TV or monitor (this requires a sold-separately 0 Netgear adapter that connects to your TV). Not to draw too many MacBook comparisons, but it also has an SD card slot (as does virtually every Windows-based laptop no matter the price), something the 9 MacBook lacks.
This is a quick unboxing of the D-Link Wireless Xtreme N Usb Adapter.I had to do it quick because my battery was going to die and because its nothing really really special but meh, anything computer related i do a video on….usually
