Teraz Polska?

Thermaltake BlacX SATA to USB Hard Drive Dock

For more information go to tiger.tv The Thermaltake BlacX docking station is built vertically, and can hold either a 3.5″ or 2.5″ disk without the need of an enclosure. The hard drive is placed on top of the adapter, facing its connectors down. After having it slided into the docking station, the user instantly gains access to its full contents.

Product page: www.icydock.com Introducing the Icy Dock MB990SP-B Dual 2.5 to 3.5 SATA and IDE Solid State and Hard Disk Drive Converter. This dual bay drive bracket allows you to use two SATA or IDE SSD and HDD in an internal 3.5 drive bay in most standard cases. Since most cases are not set up to use 2.5 form factor, the MB990SP-B allows you to make a huge upgrade to your system with very little effort. The bracket will fit most types of cases. Out of the box it can be used in both tool-less and standard cases. The EZ Fit pins on the sides of the bracket fit into most standard mounting holes, and are also removable to use either your cases proprietary mounting brackets, or to use screws for a more secure fit. The EZ FIT bracket is extremely lightweight and has an open air design for maximum air flow and cooling of the drives. Most standard 2.5 IDE or SATA drives can be used due to the open back design, allowing use of direct connections to the drive, also giving the user flexibility to mix and match drives. How to use the MB990SP-B: Simply insert the drive or drives into the front loading slots, close the latch, and it is now ready to be installed in the case. To install, compress the two tabs at the rear, and place in the drive bay. When the tabs are released, the included pins will pop into place into your cases mounting holes, and installation is complete. Some cases use their own drive trays or brackets, or one may want to use his or her own mounting screws. To

This video shows how you can use a Compact Flash card as your Amiga 600/1200 hard drive. You will need a “2,5″ ide to CF” adapter, a 2,5 ide cable (2x44pin female) and a Compact Flash card. I think 4 gigabyte is the maximum amount Amiga can use, but that should be more than enough for your old Amiga 1200! The Compact Flash card is already formated and has Workbench installed. The preparation and installation of Workbench on the CF can be a real headache and don’t expect to format 4 gigabyte very fast on an 7 or 14mhz Amiga! The big advantage of using Compact Flash instead of IDE is that it is completely silent, uses a lot less power (making it possible to add turbocard/cdrom without having to buy a better psu) and is a lot faster than old 2,5″ IDE drives.

Dell Latitude 450MC booting Windows 3.1

My old Dell Laptop (1993) with: 2Gb HD, 8Mb RAM, 1Mb Video Ram, Intel 486 DX2 @66Mhz. No floppy drive (broken) or battery. Currently I put files on it using an USB—IDE adapter. This is an example of how the modern PC are built: they can keep working for 15 years! Currently, this pc has been reformatted with its original 341Mb hard drive. I can put files on it only through Interlnk and Intersvr (see other video). After some hours of modifying the original config.sys and autoexec.bat I finally got a sort of Multi-option-boot system, which, once started, can be used in 4 “modes”: “Only Dos”, “Windows 3.1″, “Interlnk client”, “Interlnk server”. Also, I’ve put on it the drivers for my “new” printer, Office 6.0 for windows and some games… the next goal is browsing the net with it!

Need Help Updating Drivers…?

I think my desktop’s drivers need updating b/c it wouldn’t recognize my new WesternDigital HardDrive, although it was recognized on 3 other laptops…no "new hardware" popups and it doesn’t even show on "my computer"
then i tried uploading a vid from my DCR-HC21 Sony Handycam using a USB (can’t find the firewire) and it’s not even recognized either!…I used it w/this computer before…but now nothing shows up! WMM can’t even capture the vid from it!

so I downloaded Driver Detective, but it’s not free, so I guess i have to take their list of "needs updates" drivers from the scan on my comp. and manually install them all? But it’s confusing…can you please find me the correct drivers to install?

The Problem: I was noticing that one of my hard drives was making an odd sound when it was spinning up for about a week, I was uncertain which of the drive it was that was making the sound so like a fool I did not take any initiative before it gave out. I was working on my PC one day just fine and had completed my work and left the room. About 2 hours later I returned and had found that the computer had shut itself off and had attempted to reboot itself was it was sitting in a boot screen where it appeared to not be able to boot from the harddrive and was asking for a CD to boot from.

This lead me to assume that the hard drive that had gone bad was the one that the main windows vista OS. I wanted to recover the documents on the hard drive without having to open the case up, so I booted the computer up with Puppy Linux, I had some issues with PL recognizing all three drives as I was only able to mount the 1 drive that had nothing but movies saved to it. Since these were file I was not concerned about and was not able to get either of the other drives to mount I shut the PC down, opened the case and removed the HDD that had the OS on it.

Using a IDE/SATA Device adapter, I hooked up the PC to a spare laptop that I had and was able to retrieve all the files I thought were necessary to save. I went back to the desktop PC and hooked everything back up and was planning on just reinstalling the OS on one of the 2 drives that was left. But once I turned the PC back on it immediately shut itself off and then turned itself back on. The monitors did not turn on to acknowledge any video signal and the PC continues to shut itself off and back on.

So that is where I am now. The PC is not getting to any boot screen, and if it was the monitors are not coming on like the PC was never turned on, and the PC constantly shuts itself off and then reboots itself and just keep repeating the process.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
